4. Arroz con Leche

  • 1 cup rice

  • 4 cups whole milk

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch. Combine the rice, milk and cinnamon stick in a saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
